![]() I should also note that I want to avoid creating lineart in Gimp and exporting it to Krita for coloring, if I can. I would be interested in transitioning to Krita and taking advantage of its far more sophisticated options, particularly brush creation, but if I can't do lineart equally as efficient as I can in Gimp, it makes Krita less appealing to me. To those who are familiar with Krita, does Krita have a method of creating paths in a similar way to Gimp's? So far, I have not found a way to be able to manipulate a line in between vertices, and this is a huge setback when it comes to my lineart. Krita's Path tools as I currently understand them does not work the same way, specifically when it comes to manipulating the lines prior to stroking, filling, etc. In Gimp, the Paths tool allows you to create lines and vertices freely before having the options of stroking, filling, or creating selections from the lines you create. However, one of the most important tools I use for my lineart, Paths, does not seem to be remotely similar in function or flexibility in Krita in comparison to Gimp. With a little luck your pen pressure will work now, and if not then report back with the requested information.I've recently been trying out the free art program Krita after 8 years of exclusively using Gimp, another free art/photo manipulation program. Go into Krita starting with the menu ‘‘Settings’’ > ‘‘Configure Krita’’ > ‘‘Tablet settings’’ there you will find the settings ‘‘WinTab’’ and ‘‘Windows 8+ Pointer Input (Windows Ink)’’, select the setting that is NOT SELECTED, confirm this with OK and restart Krita. ![]() Do these brushes react to pressure?Īnd now the standard tip that usually solves the problem. Please try the “b) Basic-5 Size Opacity” or another brush with “Size” or “Opacity” in the name. Which brush or brushes did you use? There are brushes that do not react to pen pressure. ![]() ![]() So, please tell us which version of Krita and which operating system you are using, furthermore we need from you the brand and model name of your graphics tablet, if it is one, and not one of those 2-in-1 laptops, then we would also need its brand and exact model name. ![]() If you could assist us, maybe!
